Côte d’Ivoire – United States cooperation: several American investors expected in Abidjan this Wednesday

The Mayor of the Municipality of Houston (United States) Sylvester Tuner at the head of a delegation of 32 American investors will be this Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in Abidjan, the economic capital of Côte d’Ivoire for a working visit, we learned from diplomatic sources. 

Once in Abidjan, the American delegation has a very busy schedule. After a B to B with the Minister of State, Ivorian Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Mayor of Houston will have a one-on-one with the Prime Minister, Patrick Achy. This will be followed by a working session extended to the Ministers of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of State, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Minister of Petroleum and Energy, the Minister of Health, as well as the Minister of Technical Education, Vocational Training and Apprenticeship. 

The next day, a meeting is planned with CGECI, CCI-CI and CNP-PPP, Côte d’Ivoire Export, Vitib SA at the Maison de l’Entreprise/Chamber of Commerce, in order to explore together with Ivorian businessmen, business opportunities in Côte d’Ivoire and Houston. 

The mayor of the municipality of Abobo, Kandia Camara, established on May 18, 2023, an important partnership with the city of Houston in the United States. The Chief Justice of Abobo and Sylvester Tuner, Mayor of Houston, had already sealed an agreement covering urgent interventions in several sectors, such as education, health, training and youth entrepreneurship…
