The first edition of the Côte d'Ivoire-North America Business and Investment Forum.

The Côte d’Ivoire-North America Business and Investment Forum, which took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Abidjan Airport, on November 11-12, 2021, was organized by the Economic Promotion Office of Côte d’Ivoire in the United States, Canada, and Mexico (SPECI) in collaboration with the Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance. This event aimed to achieve greater commercial ties between North America and Côte d’Ivoire.

Consequently, this forum will bring together representatives from the Ivorian government and North American investors by signing contracts and Memoranda of Understanding of top priority projects handpicked by the Ministry of the National Development Plan.

It included the participation of several Ivorian personalities, in particular Mrs. Kandia KAMISSOKO CAMARA, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and the Diaspora, Mr. Emmanuel ESMEL ESSIS, Minister for the Promotion and Development of the Private Sector, Mr Souleymane DIARRASSOUBA, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mrs. Nialé KABA, Minister of the National Development Plan.

Their Excellencies Mr. Richard K. BELL, Ambassador of the United States in Côte d'Ivoire, Claude DEMERS, Ambassador of Canada in Côte d’Ivoire, Bafétigué OUATTARA, Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire in Canada, Ivorian economic operators and representatives of international organizations.

The North American delegation comprises about fifty businessmen and investors led by His Excellency Mr. Inza CAMARA, Ambassador, Delegate General of the Economic Promotion Service of Côte d’Ivoire in the United States, the Canada and Mexico.

The outcome.

At the end of this event, the government has drafted a statement of interest to address the entire North American delegation. Two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and the Diaspora.
