Cooperation Côte d’Ivoire – United States: 32 American investors arrive in Abidjan

The mayor of the municipality of Houston (United States), Sylvester Tuner, in the company of 32 American investors, will be on Wednesday July 19, 2023 in Abidjan.

During their stay in Côte d’Ivoire, the American delegation will have a B to B exchange with the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Côte d’Ivoire.

After this meeting with the Minister of State, the mayor of Houston will have a one-on-one with Prime Minister Patrick Achi, reports a note from the communication department of the Minister of State, received yesterday by Fraternité Matin.

American investors will have a working session extended to various members of the government, in particular the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Minister of State, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; Minister of Mines, Petroleum and Energy; Minister of Health, as well as the Minister of Technical Education, Vocational Training and Apprenticeship.

All these meetings that will take place at the Maison de l’entreprise/Chamber of Commerce aim to explore with Ivorian businessmen, business opportunities in Côte d’Ivoire and Houston.

As a reminder, Minister of State Kandia Camara, also Mayor of the municipality of Abobo, established an important partnership with the city of Houston in the United States on May 18, 2023.

The first magistrate of Abobo and Sylvester Tuner, mayor of Houston, had already sealed a solid agreement to allow the most popular and populated commune of Côte d’Ivoire to initiate rapid development for the benefit of its population.

This agreement concerns urgent interventions in several sectors, such as education, health, training and youth entrepreneurship…

It should be noted that with more than 3 million workers in the region, Houston is home to a diverse, highly skilled and well-trained workforce from a wide range of industries.
